We believe that the primary context of counselling is the local church community. Because of this, we come alongside churches as partners in ministry and seek to involve them as much as possible and provide care for their members. We’re also committed to equipping local churches through training and case consultations.
What are church partnerships?
Counselling
We provide a fully functioning biblical counselling ministry without any legal liability on your part. Our professional Biblical counsellors will work alongside your pastors, staff members, and lay leaders to provide care for your members and referrals. Place a link to our website on your church site and refer members.
Training
If you need training we provide a Level One and Level Two Certification that is great for pastors and lay counsellors in already established care ministries or those wanting to start one
Consultation
We can provide case consultation for care situations that you feel you need help with. We also provide assistance in church discipline issues and situations requiring third-party moderators.
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." - Ecclesiastes 4:12
Testimonies
“We are an established church but don’t have a care ministry yet. It was a blessing to find the Gospel Care Collective and to partner with them to provide professional biblical counselling to our people. We setup a page on our website and link directly to the GCC counsellors.” – Lead Pastor in Denver, Colorado
“For years I struggled to find trusted Christian counsellors. I love that we can partner with GCC and that they collaborate with us in our care for our people.” – Lead Pastor in Nashville, TN
“When I have a tough counselling case that I feel is over my head I have benefited greatly from setting up a consultation call with the GCC. They have provided gospel-centred, clinically-informed wisdom and practical insight that has made me a better pastor and counsellor.” – Pastor in Austin, TX
What does a partnership look like?
Our passion is to partner and support churches to help them flourish. We see our ministry as supplemental to the primary place of care in the church. Our partnership typically looks like:
- A commitment from the church to assist church members who need financial assistance to help cover counselling costs
- A commitment from the church to refer members of your congregation to Gospel Care Counsellors
- Financial support if possible
- We make billing easy and customizable for you
- We provide consulting on hard cases
- We provide resources to help you care effectively
