Counselling Staff

At Gospel Care Canada, you can rest assured that we exist to help people suffering
from spiritual, mental, emotional, and relational challenges encounter Jesus and His transforming grace in the gospel for comfort, hope, and healing.

Below you’ll find an overview of our services, designed to meet people in different
seasons and needs with clarity, care, and biblical wisdom.

INDIVIDUALS

Individual biblical counselling provides a confidential, relational space to help you understand what you are experiencing, how it is shaping your heart and responses, and how the gospel of Jesus Christ speaks with clarity and hope into your particular struggles.

This form of care is especially suited for those facing ongoing concerns rather than abuse and trauma care. Counselling unfolds over time, allowing patterns to be understood, beliefs to be examined, and wise, faithful steps forward to be practiced in daily life.

Common areas of focus may include:
• Anxiety, fear, and chronic worry
• Depression, discouragement, and grief
• Stress, burnout, and emotional exhaustion
• Anger, resentment, and relational conflict
• Shame, guilt, and struggles with identity
• Temptation, habitual sin, and matters of conscience
• Life transitions, loss, and seasons of confusion and discernment

Our counsellors seek to listen carefully to your story, take your suffering seriously, and help you see how God’s Word brings both truth and compassion to your situation. Counselling is not about quick techniques or surface-level advice, but about growing in wisdom, faith, and dependence on Christ as real change takes shape over time.

Counselling Format & Availability:
• Weekly, biweekly sessions, and even check-ins to support ongoing stability
• Available in person (See GCC services) and online (Canada-wide)
• Provided by certified biblical counsellors with experience in general services care

If you are unsure whether ongoing counselling is the right starting point, our intake process will help you discern next steps thoughtfully and without pressure.

COUPLES & MARRIAGE

Biblical counselling for couples and marriage provides a guided, gospel-centred space to help two people slow down, listen more carefully, and address patterns that have become confusing, painful, or stuck. Whether you are dating, engaged, or married, this form of counselling is designed to help you understand not only what is happening between you but why it keeps happening and how the grace of Christ speaks into it.

Many couples come feeling discouraged, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward together. Rather than offering quick communication techniques or taking sides, our counsellors help couples examine how desires, fears, expectations, and responses shape the relationship and how God’s wisdom brings clarity, repentance, and renewed hope.

Common areas of focus may include:
• Communication breakdowns and recurring conflict
• Emotional distance, hurt, or unresolved tension
• Trust, betrayal, and rebuilding safety
• Differences in expectations, roles, or priorities
• Navigating transitions such as engagement, marriage, or parenting
• Spiritual unity, faith practices, and shared direction

Counselling aims to help couples grow in humility, honesty, and understanding learning how to respond to one another with greater wisdom and grace, even when circumstances remain difficult. The goal is not merely relational stability but deeper faithfulness, love, and maturity shaped by the gospel.

Counselling Format & availability:
• Weekly, biweekly sessions, and even check-ins to support ongoing stability
• Available in person (See GCC services) and online (Canada-wide)
• Provided by certified biblical counsellors with experience in couples and marriage care

If you are uncertain whether couples or marriage counselling is appropriate for your situation or whether individual counselling may be a better starting point, our intake process will help you discern next steps with care and clarity. We do offer a 30 minute Initial Consultation, you can select this option when requesting an appointment.

FAMILY & PARENTING

Family and parenting biblical counselling offers a supportive and structured space to help families understand what is shaping their home life, relationships, and responses during seasons of strain or change. Families often seek help when stress or conflict begins to affect daily functioning, communication, and emotional safety within the home. However, we do recommend seeking help before these experiences escalate.

Rather than focusing only on behaviour management or surface solutions, our
counsellors work with families to explore how pressures, expectations, relational patterns, and spiritual influences are shaping the family dynamic. Counselling helps bring clarity to what has become overwhelming, while offering hope rooted in God’s wisdom and care for families.

Common areas of focus may include:
• Family conflict, tension, or breakdown in communication
• Parenting challenges across different stages of childhood and adolescence
• Situations impacting family stability or trust
• The impact of marital conflict on children and family life
• Navigating discipline, authority, and responsibility with wisdom and grace
• Helping families respond to stress, loss, or significant life transitions

Counselling seeks to strengthen families by fostering understanding, repentance where needed, patience, and wise leadership within the home. Parents are helped to grow in discernment and confidence, while families learn how to respond to one another in ways that promote care, stability, and spiritual growth.

Counselling format & availability:
• Weekly, biweekly sessions, and even check-ins to support ongoing stability
• Sessions may involve parents, children, or the whole family as appropriate
• Available in person (London, Ontario) and online (Canada-wide)
• Provided by certified biblical counsellors experienced in family and parenting
care

If you are unsure whether family or parenting counselling is appropriate for your situation or whether individual counselling may be a better starting point, our intake process will help you discern next steps with care and clarity. We do offer a 30 minute Initial Consultation, you can select this option when requesting an appointment.

CHILDREN & TEENS

Biblical counselling for children and teens provides a supportive and age-appropriate space to help young people navigate the formative years of growth, identity, and responsibility. These years often involve intense emotions, emerging independence, and increasing pressure related to relationships, school, expectations, and faith. Counselling helps teens slow down, make sense of what they are experiencing, and learn how to respond wisely and faithfully.

Our counsellors seek to engage teens with care, respect, and clarity. They help them understand how their thoughts, desires, and responses shape their choices, and how God’s Word offers guidance, hope, and direction in the midst of confusion or distress.

Common areas of focus may include:
• Anxiety, low mood, and emotional regulation
• Identity, self-worth, and belonging
• Peer relationships, conflict, and social pressure
• Anger, withdrawal, or behavioural struggles
• Navigating school-related stress or life transitions
• Spiritual questions, doubts, or disengagement

Because parents are the primary caregivers and have a God-given role in their child’s life, parental involvement is an important part of the counselling process. While counselling provides teens with a space to be heard and understood, parents are encouraged to participate in appropriate ways to support insight, healing, and ongoing growth within the home.

Counselling aims to help teens grow in discernment, responsibility, and resilience, while strengthening the support and leadership of parents as they walk alongside their child.

Counselling format & availability:
• Weekly, biweekly sessions, and even check-ins supporting ongoing stability
• Sessions may involve the teen individually, with parents, or in combination
• Available in person (London, Ontario) and online (Canada-wide)
• Provided by certified biblical counsellors experienced in child and teen care

If you are unsure whether teen counselling is the best place to begin, our intake process will help guide next steps with care and clarity. We do offer a 30 minute Initial Consultation, you can select this option when requesting an appointment.
